Parenting Skills and Safety Training Project for Victims of Domestic Violence

Under a new project called "Parenting Skills and Safety Training Project for Victims of Domestic Violence", which is funded under the Violent Crimes Against Women Criminal Justice and Training Projects grant through the Office of Governor, ESCAPE has begun specifically tailoring  programs to address all issues relating to family violence. (Read full story here.)

This project focuses on empowering women/mothers with parenting skills and techniques to take back their roles as a parent, to restore appropriate parent/child relationships and boundaries, learn new, healthy and positive conflict resolution, and discipline techniques.

Each session includes safety planning skills for parents and children. Information and referrals are provided to each participant to assist in their journey to well-being and self-sufficiency.

ESCAPE partners with many area agencies to provide these programs on-site in Harris, Fort Bend, Chambers, Liberty, and Galveston counties. For more information, please call 713-942-9500.
