Is it sometimes hard to find the right words to describe your family’s diverse racial or ethnic composition? You are not alone. Golfer Tiger Woods coined the word “Cablinasian” to describe his complex cultural backgrounds — Caucasian, Black, Indian and Asian. ESCAPE has borrowed this word and modified it to include the Hispanic culture, which many Houstonians share.
Cablispainian teaches multicultural and immigrant families ways to develop safer and more harmonious homes by introducing adults and children in these families to our core family strengthening curriculum. Parents and children express ideas and feelings related to their family cultures, including the challenges that may arise when family members have varying cultural values.
To participate in an upcoming class, you must first register with ESCAPE.
