named a returning official charity of the
2011 Chevron Houston Marathon!

 


After being recognized as the Best Cheer Hoopla Team in both 2009 and 2010, ESCAPE has once again been named an official charity of the 2011 Chevron Houston Marathon's Run for a Reason program!

Whether you're a runner, a walker, or just a fan of ESCAPE, you can join our team and help to make the marathon experience as exciting as ever!  There are so many ways you can show your support for ESCAPE, that you're guaranteed to find a way to get involved.
  • HERO Registrations - run or walk the marathon by making a minimum $350 donation to ESCAPE as a Hero, plus pay the race registration fees.  HERO registration for 2011 begins on July 27th, 2010.  Becoming a Hero guarantees your entry into the marathon - no waiting for lottery results!  These spots will go fast, so register as a Hero early!
  • Cheer/Hoopla Teams - be a part of our award-winning Hoopla Team!  Bring your noisemakers, your banners, your pom-poms and your encouraging attitude as you stand on the race route & cheer on the participants!  This is a great opportunity for scout troops, school clubs, church groups, service organizations, families and friends.  Make your plans early, and reserve a space now!
  • Sidewalk Squad Sponsors - The Run for a Reason 's Sidewalk Squad corporate sponsorship program is an exciting opportunity for local businesses, organizations and groups to be an integral part of Houston's largest single-day sporting event while supporting ESCAPE Family Resource Center with a tax-deductible donation.
  • Fundraisers - Even if you are unable to attend the event on January 3oth, you can sign up as a fundraiser and encourage your friends, family and co-workers to support you and ESCAPE by making donations in your honor!  Post a link to your page on Facebook & other social media sites to rally support!
  • Make a Pledge - pledge a set dollar amount per mile that ESCAPE's Staff, Board Members or Heros complete on race day! 
  • Make Banners - contribute your creativity to help make colorful, inspiring banners to be displayed along the marathon route.
