Many of our classes are taught in Spanish. They have been especially designed for multi-racial, multi-cultural families and explore value systems, prejudice, and other issues. We are always looking for bilingual volunteers who can assist us.

Child abuse in Houston is a serious problem—but each of us can be part of the solution. Please review this list of creative ways you can help to make life safer and happier for families and children.
- Learn to discipline without punishment.
- Become informed on the issue of child abuse prevention and advocate others to do so.
- Email your congressman or city council member and insist on increased spending on prevention rather than simply towards child abuse intervention and treatment.
- Collaborate with the Center to deliver our classes at your site.
- Refer a family in crisis to our Center, before abuse happens!
- Register to attend or volunteer at one of our events.
- Contribute your time as a volunteer.
- Work as a program educator.
- Make a contribution to ESCAPE.
- Donate an item from our wish list.
What I want to do is to plant a seed for change. In seven weeks, I do see change in our students—even if it’s just the ability to look someone in the eye or smile at a neighbor. I know they’ve learned life skills as well as parenting skills.
